"Old" Cactus Illustration

Well, a few weeks ago, I was asked to draw a prickly pear cactus with "fruit?" I'm not sure what the pink things are called. This illustration was changed and I think I'm now going to be in the third round of this one.
I'm not sure what to say as the Department that requested this is changing everything they can about it since they were offended at being charged. The never ending saga is reaching all free lancers in Marketing.
